About Urban Bloom Bunch . . .
Get ready for a blooming journey with our five seasonal bi-weekly flower clubs. This floral adventure kicks off with "Terrific Tulips" in January-March and concludes with "Winter Whimsy" in November-December. Each club boasts its own unique charm, with slight variations in duration and structure.
Within each club, there are two “session” selections featuring alternating weeks for convenient pick-ups or deliveries. What remains a constant across all clubs is the assurance of receiving locally grown, sustainable, and breathtaking seasonal bouquets.
Our Tin Can Passport is for those who share our passion for year-round blooms. It is a chance to embrace all 5 of our seasonal subscriptions into a (nearly) year-long subscription at a discounted rate.
Regardless of whether you join season-by-season or take the plunge and buy the passport, as part of The Bunch you will get access to our latest and greatest blooms, including some of our more limited and unique varieties.
Indulge in the beauty of seasonal flowers, sustainably grown and thoughtfully curated just for you. Join The Bunch and let the floral journey unfold, petal by petal, throughout the year!
Urban Bloom FAQ
How will I get my bouquets?
You can choose to either pick up your bouquets each week in your session, or have them delivered an additional $30 per season or $125 for the Passport . Our delivery area is currently limited to Arlington, Falls Church, the City of Alexandria, parts of Fairfax County and parts of Washington DC. If you place an order for delivery with an address outside our delivery area, we will either need to charge an additional fee or cancel your order. Please email us at julie@tincanflowersva.com if you need delivery. Delivery fees will be paid separately.
When and where can I pick up my bouquets?
Pickups (and deliveries) will be available on Thursdays. The primary pickup location is near Crystal City/National Landing in South Arlington. The pick-up address will be emailed after purchase. We are currently working on an alternate pick-up location in North Arlington.
What if I can’t pick up my flowers on the designated day/time?
If you need to miss a week, we recommend that you share your love of flowers with another person that week and ask a friend or neighbor to grab the bouquet for you. We can also accommodate an occasional one-off delivery for a fee; just email us at julie@tincanflowersva.com.
Why do you ask about allergies?
There are a some stems that we will pull out if someone has specific allergies. In particular we want to know if someone has a latex allergy since Euphorbia has a sap that has latex. We use Euphorbia only occasionally but can substitute if need be.
How do I care for my blooms once I receive them?
Our bunches will do best if kept out of the full sun. The pick-up location is in the shade. If you arrange delivery, the initial drop-off will include a clean white bucket with our label. We ask that you indicate a shaded location for the bucket and place the bucket there will cool water on each delivery date. As soon as you bring in the bunch, unwrap it and cut off a 1/2 inch to an inch of all the stems and place into a vase with cool, clean water. Change the water every 2 days, cutting off another 1/2 inch or so each time. Most of our stems should have at least 5 days vase life but some will have more than a week. Clean water and out of the full sun are central to extending vase life.
Can I choose the colors I want?
As part of The Bunch offerings, we will take color preferences into account if we can but stem selection is grower’s choice. Since we grow all of our flowers, we are at the mercy of whatever is blooming each week. If you need specific colors for a specific event, please contact us at julie@tincanflowersva.com about our Available Arrangements.
